Request from a friend

.
Hi

Well, it's been another big week.

Market stall went well on the weekend and my friend Jill's romantic short story give away was very well received. If you didn't get a copy of it you can send an email to info@jembellish.com with "Fijian Sunset" in the subject line and a copy will be emailed to you and you will also then receive montly updates of our newest creations.

Yesterday at school pick up a friend of mine put in a request for a card suitable for a baby shower which I have made for her but I got a bit carried away and ended up making a carriage to go with it. Carriage contains two baby facewashers rolled up inside.

I have seen a number of tutorials on the internet for making smaller carriages for baby shower favours but I decided to have a go at making a larger one as a gift box.

Recipe

Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and Very Vanilla cardstock from Stampin Up
Designer paper - Unknown
Ribbon - Very Vanilla 1/4" (6.35cm) Grosgrain ribbon

You can view the baby girl version I have made here on the JeMbellish blog

Thanks for stopping by.

This carriage and card are adorable. I have seen the other tutorials and they are nice, but small. Are you going to post a tutorial for your larger carriage?

Hi Trish

Thanks for taking the time to comment on my baby carriage.

I have been getting quite a few requests for templates and or instructions for the things that I make.

I do intend to post some tutorials. But I just have to figure out how first. Of all the things I do well, computer techie stuff is not one of them.

I will see if I can do a series of photos perhaps with just some written instructions to begin with.

Michelle, thanks for considering doing a tutorial. To make it easy, you could just do pictures of each step and then include the measurements of the paper and the punches used for each piece.

I look forward to seeing what you come you up with. I'm sure it will be great.

Thanks again,
Trish

Hi Trish

We have our house up for sale at the moment and are having two lots of people coming through to inspect this weekend. I'm going to be a bit busy getting ready for that but maybe next week I can work on taking a series of photos as I make another carriage and post them in a tutorial format.

Your carriage turned out great. I've seen a ton of these on SCS and they just look kind of strange, but your looks great. You got it right - great job and thanks for the tutorial
