Mad For Markers Current Challenge - Last Days.

Hi

Gosh, here it is Thursday already, these school holidays and long weekends really play havoc with my sense of time. We just had a five day weekend and now we are heading towards another three day weekend! Hey I'm not complaining, lol!

Being a Thursday it means it is my day to create and share a card with you for the current Mad For Markers challenge. This months challenge has been to use Copics in the YR, RV and BG colour families.

For my card I have used a Kenny K image "Download Diva"

This colour combo for this months challenge has been tricky for me. I have to be honest and say it is a bit out of my comfort zone. I don't actually own any BG's yet so I tried to get a bit creative and use a couple of different colours on her jeans to try to achieve a blue green colour.

The following Copics were used:

Skin - E000, E00, E11 and R20
Hair -E29, E27, E25 and E53
Eyes - B93 and Y11
Shirt  and Shoes - RV91,RV93. RV95, RV99, YR61, YR65, YR68, N1 and N3
Jeans - YG91, YG95 and B91

Head on over to the Mad For Markers challenge blog to check out the current challenge and for some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.

There are only a couple of days left for the current challenge to run but you still have time to link up your card to share with us.

Sammi also has an exciting new project underway

Here's a little note from Kerry

My name is Kerry and although I'm originally from Vancouver , BC I've lived in Glasgow Scotland for the past 27 years.

I'm married with 3 grownup kids and in the process of planning a wedding with my daughter for next year!

I started making cards 11 years ago and brought out my own range of stamps in summer 2009. I felt the stamp world needed a new character and Nikki & Friends was born. Since then Nikki's got herself a boyfriend and a dog and Magnum & Lily are causing havoc. I have designed 10 different ranges under the Ladybug Crafts Ink (LCI) name so I'm sure there's a character for everyone!

I am very excited to be a sponsor for Make IT Monday and wish Michelle and her team much success.

Thank you Kerry, it is great to have you here with us on MIM.

Kerry is kindly offering this weeks second prize

the Stack of Cupcakes stamp from the Cupcake Cuties set.

Head on over to Ladybug Crafts Ink and check the rest of the Cupcake Cuties here.

Welcome to the new Design Team

The Design Team call ended last Friday and I just want to say thank you to all the wonderful ladies who applied. Mad For Markers - Colour Challenge

.

Hi blogging Buddies how are you?

For those of you still thinking about putting your hand up for the Design Team call for the Make It Monday linky party you still have until tomorrow evening (Friday 15th April -AEST).

Today I have a card to share with you that I created for the current challenge we have over at Mad For Markers which is to use Copics from the following colour families on your creation

YR, RV and BG

For my card I have one of my newly aquired stamps from the Oliver and Amelia set "Happy Day" available over at Mad For Markers

Colours used for this image are
Skin - E00, E000, E11 & R20
Hair - Y21, Y23, Y26 & Y28
Clothes - RV91, RV93,RV95, YR61, YR65 and YR 68

These images are so much fun to colour I still have a couple I haven't inked up yet that I'm sure you will be seeing soon. Sadly though, I wasn't overly happy with this card in the end. You know how it goes, it just doesn't go right from the start but you keep perservering when really you probably should of just scrapped it and started again...............oh well.

I do like the backround paper that I created though. I started off with a piece of whisper white cardstock and used a babywipe and Pumpkin pie ink and just kept sponging it till I got this effect.

Head on over to the Mad For Markers challenge blog to check out the current challenge and for some fabulous inspiration from the Design Team.
Check out the new range of stamps from "The Greeting Farm" and "La La Land Craft Stamps" that Sammi has in store now.

This week's featured blogger as chosen by random.org is.............................

Brilliant colouring Tammylee!! I'm loving the green and blue colour combo. There is some serious layering going on on this card and it looks fantastic.

Tammylee has a fabulous blog filled to brim with a wonderful selection of cards. She also has a page with an awesome tutorial for glassy looking flowers here.

Please be sure to hop on over and say hi to Tammylee and let her know you saw her card here on Pink Paper Paradise's Make it Monday linky party.

The Make It Monday linky party is open again (see top of my blog).
Its a great way to show case your favourite card or project to new people.
You can even revive an old post. It may be old news to you but there are so many new blogs coming online every day that it is NEW to them. So come along link up and check out the other submissions and remember is all about just sharing the creativity and you may even find yourself making some new blog buddies.

Now on to the details for the changes to Make It Monday, Sponsor search and DT call

My humble little linky party has grown so quickly and I would like to thank each and every one of you. I would also like to thank the wonderful team over at Feline Playful for helping make this possible with all their hard work at compiling the list of challenges and winners every week.

This linky party has grown from 15 to 20 submissions each week to a whopping 154 last week (up from 134 the week before).
There were 1175 views and 400 link clicks. That means that there are a lot of people out there enjoying the inspiration you are providing and that my friends is the whole idea!!

It also means that it is taking a VERY long time to get around each of you to comment on your beautiful creations and I have had enlist the help of my wonderful Mum, Shirley -Anne from Stamping For Joy. So I have decided to promote her (LOL) to the first Design Team Member of the Pink Paper Paradise Make It Monday linky Party.

Prizes
I have decided to start offering a prize to one person each week but in a slightly different way.
As well as randomly choosing one submission each week to feature on my blog  I am going to also award a prize to a random commentor.

Because this linky party is all about sharing inspiration, a little blog love and making new friends I am going to randomly choose a person who has commented on another submission in the weekly linky party to receive a small prize pack consisting of crafting supplies. To be eligable for the prize the commentor must make mention in their comment that they saw the card/papercraft project in the Make It Monday linky party.

I am also putting out a call for 4  more people who would like to join the Make It Monday team.

The following is what will be required from you:

1. You must have an active blog that you post to atleast once a week.

2.Create some sort of paper project (anything goes) each week and post it on your blog in a post promoting the Make It Monday linky party. You are welcome/encouraged to link your creation up to any and all other challenges.

3. Comment on your share of the submitted entries to the Make It Monday linky party each week.

In return you will receive:

1. Your creation displayed on the Make It Monday post here on Pink Paper Paradise each week with a link back to your blog.

2. A small pack of crafting supplies each month.

(Keep in mind that this is an inspriational linky party hosted by myself with the help of my Mum to promote the sharing of inspiration and the making of new friends. Any prizes or crafting packs sent out are supplied by us out of our own stash.)

Please email at mgissel70@yahoo.com.au  or leave a comment here on this post with a link to your blog if you are interested in applying. Please tell me why you think you would enjoy being part of the Make It Monday team. This call will be open until the  15th April.

I am also searching for any companies that may wish to sponsor the Make It Monday linky party and offer a prize for the winner and or products for the Design Team to promote.
Please email me at mgissel70@yahoo.com.au.

Your company button/blinky will be prominently displayed in my sidebar as well as being included in the post for the week's linky party you choose to sponser.

To those of you who have made it this far south of my post, lol, I thank you for your patience.

Thank you for stopping by today.

New Challenge - Mad For Markers

Hi

Wow, I know, I'm a little surprised too!!

I actually managed to make a card this week!!

Don't get me wrong, I am absolutely loving my new job, and I know it is only one day a week (soon to be two) but it has really thrown my crafting time in to chaos. That and the fact that my Mojo seems to have taken an  extended vacation and I'm just finding that there is not much creativity happen here at the moment. Let's hope that changes soon hey!

But on to my card for today......................

Mad For Markers has a new challenge running - We want to see the copic colours from the YR, RV and BG colour families.

Now, I don't have any markers in the BG family (YET, lol) so I opted to go for the RV colours.

I have used Anya from the Hats off Anya set available at Mad For Markers.

Copics used

Skin - E00, E000, E11 and R20
Hair - Y21, Y23, Y26 and Y28
Hat, shoes and clothes - RV91, RV93, RV95 and RV99
Shading - N0, N1 and N3

Head on over to the Mad For Markers challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration.
Check out the new range of stamps from "The Greeting Farm" and "La La Land Craft Stamps" that Sammi has in store now.

For all your Copic and related supplies head on over to Mad For Markers online store.
Mad For Markers post to Australia and New Zealand and stock a large range of Copic Markers, Blending Card, Masking Paper etc.
You can also check out the store blog and challenge blog for tips, tutorials and inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by

Michelle :-)
