Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #7 - Sketch

.
Hi

It's Sunday and that means challenge time again over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog (didn't I just say that yesterday???, sure seems that way!)

This week it is Team A's turn and they have an awesome sketch for you to follow this time courtesy of the incredibly talented Donna.

Of course I couldn't help but play along too this week so here is my take on Donna's sketch.

I know!! Don't fall over hey, there is NO PINK on this card!!

I have used Kenny's image "Devilish Donna" and coloured her with Copics. The straps on the boots were white too but when I went over the boots with Glossy Accents (same as Crystal Effects) they kind of went all gray looking :-(see bottom of post for card recipe).

Team A have got some spectacular cards to inspire you this week over at Kenny's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog so head on over and check them out. Kenny has also release 10 new All Starz images, so be sure to head on over to his Digi shop and grab yourself some of those!!

I have really enjoyed checking out the amazing cards that were submitted in last weeks challenge ( it is so great to see so many of you coming back to play each week) and I can't wait to see what you all come up with this time with Donna's sketch.

You have a whole week to make your fabulous card and link it up on Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog.

As always there are prizes of Kenny's images up for grabs but you have to use one of Kenny's images to be in the running so what are you waiting for!!

What's in my card:

Pacific Point, Bashful Blue and Whisper White cardstock - Stampin Up!
Washington Apple DSP - Stampin Up!
Orange ribbon from stash

Copics
Skin - E11, E00, E000 and R20
Hair, Eyes,Clothes and Boots - B97, B93 and B91

Extra's
Glossy Accents
Kindy Glitz

Thanks for stopping by today.

Skateboard Girl and Blog Candy Alert

.
Hi

Wow, what fantastic weather we are having this weekend! The boys have been outside playing in the sandpit all morning.

I'm going to miss all this sunshine when I head down to Adelaide in just over a week. The drop in temperatures will certainly be a shock to my system. But it's worth it just to spend a little time with my Mum and Dad who I haven't seen for a couple of years and hopefully my two brothers as well who I haven't seen for atleast 15 years!

I actually managed to make a card last night, the first in ages that wasn't a Design Team challegne card. Kenny K released a few more All Starz images last week and I decided to colour up "Skateboard Girl".

Image and setiment are coloured with Copics and I have used Glossy Accents (same as Crystal Effects) on the helmet, skateboard, sentiment, scollops and corners.

I'm really happy with how this card turned out although it has one minor flaw, it doesn't fit in a 16cm x 16cm envelope!!

I am linking this card up to the following challenges:

Now on to the blog candy alert

My wonderful Mum, Shirley-Anne from Stamping for joy has a little blog candy give away on her blog.

Unfortunately, this time around she is only offering it to Australian Residents but maybe next time it will be world wide

This candy consists of :

Simply Sent Card Elements Kit " Flower Power",

Punches Three stamp set,

a paper pack , Patterns Pack 11

a container of rhinestones brads, Ice Circles.

I will be picking the winner on September 4th when I am down in Adelaide visiting Mum so be sure to swing past her beautiful blog and leave a little comment for her.

Thanks for stopping by today.

.
Hi

It's challenge time again over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz!!

Congratulations to last weeks winners!!

Wow, it is so great to see so many of you joining in the fun, week after week. It's hard not to when Kenny's images are so much fun to colour. I find myself joining in even when it's Team A's turn. But this week is Team B's turn  and the challenge this week  is a colour combo - Bold and Bright.

Being limited by my range of Copics colours I have gone with pink and orange and I have used Kenny's image "Da Bomb" for my card.

Papers are from Stampin Up!

For some amazing inspiration go on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog and check out the amazing talent of the the rest of the Design Team.

Don't forget to link up your card by the end of the week to be in the running to win some of Kenny's images.

If you hop on over to his shop now you will see there has been a mid -month release of 10 more All Starz images you are going to love!!

I hope you have all had a fabulous weekend and I look forward to seeing your creations.

A few photos and a blog award

.
Hi

I have not had a lot of time for crafting of late, so many things taking priority.

But I thought today I would share a few photos with you.

I have seen so many wonderful photos on some of the blogs that I visit and I find that I love getting a little glimpse in to my blogging friends lives. So I thought I would share a few photos of my own.

First up, winter sunrise here in Far North Queensland, Australia. This photo was taken from our front veranda about 6:15am the other morning.

Now I'd love to say that I took this photo, but it would be a lie. Mornings are a boy thing in my house. Dear Hubby and my eldest boy are always up around 5:30am and the younger two are up not long after. They are very good and wait till 6:30am before they come sneaking in to wake me up with cuddles. (It will be so sad when they are too old to do that). They did try to get me out of bed early to view this spectacular sunrise but I opted for another 15 minutes sleep, slack hey! I'm glad Hubby took this photo so I didn't miss it completely.

I did take the rest of these photos though

This is a photo (also taken from our front veranda) shows a typical winters day here in the tropics. Our average daily temp is about 28 degrees (approx. 82 degrees Fahrenheit).

And here are a few of our favourite residents that we share our home with.

Our lovely Kingfishers

We now have a very magestic pair of Kookaburras who have started to visit us every evening.

and when our African Tulip trees are in flower, we get flocks of Sulphur Crested Cockatoos.

Finally one of our perhaps less glamerous but still amazing fellow residents is the Titan Stick Insect. And yes that is me holding it!

And now on to my recent blog award, given to me by the lovely, generous and incredibly talented Barbara from Barbara's World of Whimcees

Thank you Barbara for thinking of me. I have so enjoyed your recent posts about Little Doll and Fat Cat.

Seeing as how this has been such a long post. I will come back another time and forward this award on to some inspiring blogs.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

In the Summer Time - Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #5

.
Hi, nice to have you stop by today.

It's Sunday AGAIN! But let's not get hung up on how fast this year is disapearing, instead let's focus on the exciting news that it's challenge time again over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz.

We had a fantastic number of entries in last week's challenge. It is so great to see so many of you joining in the fun each week. Believe me once you start playing with Kenny's fabulous images it's hard to stop.

Team A are on the job this week and they have a fun theme for you of "In The Summer Time". So let your imaginations run wild and choose your favourite Kenny K image and get started.

I have used "Download Diva" for my card.

My supplies are running low and I'm on a self imposed "no spend" month at the moment so I decided to create my own designer paper for the background using Stampin Up! So Safron Card stock and Cameo Coral ink ( I think) and SU Vintage Vogue stamp set.

Kenny K's "Download Diva" image is coloured with a mix of Copics and Water Colour Crayons.

The Design Team have come up with some absolutely amazing cards to inspire you this week so pop on over the Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog to check them out for some inspiration. Then get creating and link your card up. There are prizes up for grabs (Kenny K images) so you have to be in it to win it as they say.

Thanks for stopping by.

50th Birthday

Hi

I've been a bad blogger again, it's been a while since I've had time to visit all my favourite blogs. So many things taking priority over my crafting time. But I will pop by soon to check out what you have all been up to.

I received an email from a friend late last night with a request for a large 50th birthday card for a lady asap. So I grabbed the Stampin Up - Cottage Wall - designer paper that was still on my desk from a card  I created a week or so ago. and came up with this A5 size top fold card.

Because the card was to be signed by a group of people I decorated the top and bottom of the inside of the card too.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to be visiting your blog soon.
