MIM #78 with Di's Digi Downloads

Hi

Wow, that's another week down!

It was a busy weekend for us with lots to do the yard and a birthday celebration for our youngest son (turning 6 on Tuesday)

I got the results back from my previous CT scan and now have to head off this morning for a MRI on my lower back. Can't say I'm looking forward to it. But on the advice of a good friend I'm just going to enjoy the fact that there is no house work or children to look after for a fabulous 20 minutes while I am stuck in the tube and I plan to take a wee little Nanna nap while I'm in there, lol.

I didn't really get much opportunity to do a lot of crafting this week but I did manage to finish off a little project I started at my friend Shannean's house last week when we met up with another lady  for a day of guilt free crafting.

I thought I would share it for this week's Make It Monday linky party.

I have made a few of these drawers before that you can see here and here.

The papers are from Stampin' Up! as is the sentiment.

Shannean just happened to have the perfect brads for me to use on the drawers.

Flower was made using a spellbinder die

Ok, now you have seen what I am sharing this week at Make It Monday.

Let's see what you've been creating!

This week I would like to feature

MIM #77 with Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps

Hi there, happy Monday to you!!

Can you believe how quickly the weeks are going? At the end of this week my boys will be half way through the first term of school. They are already counting the number of days till the next lot of school holidays, lol.

This past week has just sort of passed in a blur for me, I blame it on the painkillers lol. I have to visit the surgeon again this morning to find out if and when I have to have my hernia fixed. He sent me off for a CT scan when I saw him last time to check to make sure that I don't have arthritis of my lower spine (apparently there is some link with psoriasis and arthritis). So I will get the results of that too I guess.

Anyway, enough of my woe is me, lol.

I did manage to get my card for this week's Make It Monday linky party created at the very last minute, using  a super cute image "Fancy Flower Pony" from our wonderful sponsor Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps.

This cute little pony is a real favourite of mine. I usually colour it in pinks but this time I thought I would go with brown.

Copics used are:

E25, E27, E29, E30, E31, E33, E35 and E53
R81, R83 and R85
Y13

Papers are retired from Stampin' Up!

MIM #76 with Guylou's Inimitability

Hi

Oh gosh, Monday already, I'm seriously not ready!!
The weekend passed in a blur of lawn mowing and laundry etc.
Usually I strike a fairly good balance of work and play on the weekends but I think I get a big old FAIL for this one.

There was a moment there when I didn't think I would get across the line with my card  for this week's Make It Monday linky party either but I just managed to scrape it in, lol.

I used a fab image from our sponsor this week called "Frederic"

Image is coloured with Copics

Papers are from Stampin' Up! (retired now I believe)

I just love this image, isn't it wonderful and relaxing. It reminds me of my husband a bit, well in the fact that he has always wanted a hammock, lol.

Don't look too closely at my colouring! In an attempt to tone down the brightness of the B00, B000 and B0000 markers I used for the sky I used N0 and it didn't quite work our the way I wanted to.

You can find this fab image and a whole swag more over at

Guylou is generously offering a $10 store voucher to the winning commenter this week over at the Make It Monday linky party.

To be in with a chance to win this wonderful prize all you need to do is leave a comment for an entry and be sure to mention you saw them on MIM. The more entries you comment on the more chances you have of winning.

For my favourite from last week's linky party I was torn between a few (who's kidding who, more like a dozen, lol. There are always so many fabulous entries) but in the end I decided to choose this amazing card from

(yes our old MIM teamie)

I have always been a big fan of Lisa Jane's creative and resourceful style but this card really appealed to me.

Lisa managed to use a unexpected "ingredient" in this card and also was extremely resourceful in the way that she created her own embossing template.

Thanks for sharing with us at Lisa, it is so nice to have you playing along.

Come on over and join us this week.

The fabulously talented ladies on the Design Team have created some awesome cards featuring images from our wonderful sponsor to get the party started..

I look forward to seeing what you have to share with us  this week.

Another request

Hi

Here we are end of the first week of February already!! Never mind Valentines, the shops are full of Easter already!! What is with that? Mind you, I don't mind too much as I'm a bit partial to the odd hot cross bun and secretly wish they would sell them all year long.

I have been busy this week, with a request for some cards from a lady I work with. She was after some cards without any sentiment so that they could be used for any occassion.

It's funny really, maybe it's just me, but I always struggle with where to put the sentiment on a card, I find it tricky to place it just right. So I thought that making cards without a sentiment would be a breeze! Well, I think it is even harder!

That said, I am pretty happy with this card.

Image is "Friends 24-7" from Stampin' Up! inked using Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip.
Cardstock is also Chocolate Chip.

I embossed the whole image panel with the "Square Lattice" embossing folder also from SU.

Papers are from My Minds Eye

Flowers were created using the same papers and Spellbinders "Rose Creations" die.

I gave the whole card a spritz of glimmer mist.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

I hope you are all having a great week!

Thanks for stopping by today.

MIM #75 with Bugaboo Stamps

Hi, how are you? Did you have a good weekend?

Ours was quiet, wet and windy.  We managed to get a few quick swims in the pool between downpours though. I see that we had our first Cyclone for the season too over the weekend, thankfully it was heading out to sea!

I had a request from a lady I work with for some cards without sentiments so I have been working on those and will hopefully share them with you over the coming days.

Today though  I am here to remind you that it is linky party time again over at Make It Monday.

Over 200 entries linked up again last week!!

Did you know you can go back and view all the entries for previous weeks as you scroll back through the MIM blog? So if  you are looking to entice your Mojo back from where ever it has decided to vacation off to then MIM is a brilliant place to start. There is an endless supply of inspiration with a variety of styles and projects to get you out of your crafting rut.

This week I have created a card using a wonderful image from our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, called  Bobblehead Cow.

I love this sweet little cow!!

I knew what I wanted to create as soon as I saw this image and set about trying to create the mulitple images in paint.net but had heaps of trouble as it's been so long since I have used the program I have completely forgotten how to merge images.

So I settled on just printing two of them  and then added a third one to the center.

Sentiment is computer generated.

A special request

Hi!

Well, here I am, back for the third time this week! Now I'm just being an over achiever, lol!

I had special request from a friend this week to make a 60th birthday card for her Mum. So here I am today to share what I came up with for her.

I used one of my new favourite stamp sets that I got from my Mum recently called Notably Ornate from Stampin' Up!

The papers are from the Prima 6x6 paper stack called  Melody Collection. I used Chocolate Chip ink (SU) to distress the edges.
I used Chocolate Chip cardstock (SU) for the the card base and also for the numbers and swirls.

The numbers are from a Sizzlits Die called Timeless Type and Alphabet Jr and the swirls are from a Sizzix Die called Scribbles Swirls that my friend Shannean gave me as she had two of them. Thanks Shannean!!

Faux stitching is drawn with a Chocolate Chip Stampin' Up! Marker.

I gave the whole card a spritz of glimmer mist just to snaz it up a bit.

I would like to enter my card in to the following challenges:
