I have been saying for ages now that I really should get my sewing machine down and dust it off and try to learn how to use it. I see so many beautiful cards out there with real stitching and I just love the way they look.
Well, finally I have managed to give it a go.
Now be kind, this is my first attempt. Well, when I say first attempt, this is the first finished card. I did like a million practice runs on scraps of cardstock before I finally figured it out and got the tension right etc. It took quite a while and I'm proud to say I did it without teaching my boys any "bad words" to take to school in a couple of weeks, lol.
I used the "Whimsical Garden" set from Stampin' Up! and the Papers are SU as well.
I'm really happy with how this card turned out.
Thanks for stopping by to take a look today.
Michelle :-)

Lovely! You did a beautiful job with the stitching Michelle! I expect we'll be seeing more now that you've dusted that machine off!
Wow, Michelle! Great sewing! I was trying to do the same stitching on the curtain over the weekend but gave up. You did great!
It's beautiful - and your sewing is awesome!
Hi Michelle,
This card is an absolute winner... love the colours and what a great job you have done with the sewing... Super duper card!
As far as bad words go - I don't think you would ever use them... you don't look the kinds.
I love the sentiment on your card... so very true.
