Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #37 - Recipe

Hi there Kenny K fans!!

Well, today's post is a mixed one for me. I am excited to fill you in on the details of this weeks challenge which is a Recipe - 3 Designer Papers, 2 Ribbons and 1 image.

But I am also sad to say that this will be my last post as a Kenny K Krafty Girl :-(.

I decided to stand down from my position on the team as at the moment with my new job and sick kids etc I have found it difficult to make crafting time a priority. And I didn't want to let the team down by being late with cards etc.

But on the upside I am looking forward to being able to join in the Kenny K Krafty Girlz challenges from now on, Yippee!!!

Anyway, back to this weeks challenge........

For my card I have used "Hug"

Our sponsors this week is

The prize offered is 4 rolls of ribbon winners choice.

And as always Kenny K's has offered 5 digis winners choice

Please remember only those using Kenny K's images will be entered into the drawing for a chance to win prizes.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #26 - LOVE

Well, that's the first week of 2011 done and dusted!!  Only two more weeks of school holidays, no way! I'm so not ready for my baby to start school, sob. :-(

And the worry too is that I wont have my boys school book lists filled in time either. The place where I took the lists to be filled still has not recieved their supplies due to the floods down south. Not that I am in any hurry to start covering the books, for all the things I do well, using contact to cover books is definitely not one of them.

Ok, I'm going to try real hard not to think too much about that yet. Let's move on to something way brighter like the new challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog. This week Team A are on the job and the theme is LOVE.

As usual I couldn't help playing along with the challenge this week and I have used one of Kenny's new images "Sundae".

Kenny has a whole range of new image available in his store now just perfect for valentines cards.

Crafty Ribbons is sponsering the challenge this week with a selection of swiss dot ribbons up for grabs for the winner

along with five digis of the winners choice from Kenny K.

So hop on over to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog now and check out the Krafty Girlz inspirational cards and pick yourself up one of Kenny's images (have to use a Kenny K image to be in the running to win the prizes). There is a super cute freebie available here.

I look forward to seeing what you create.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge #14 & New Release

.
Hi

Well, here it is Sunday again, am I the only person who feels like they are on a runaway roller coaster heading straight for the end of year?!

It's not all bad though, that's for sure, cause this week over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge Blog it's all happening!! Kenny has whipped up some more totally AWESOME  digi's for you, just in time for Christmas. Not only has be produced some fabulous new images but he has created some Christmas themed accessories to go with some of the already existing images, how cool is that!!

This weeks theme for the challenge (hosted by the extremely talented Team A) is wait for it................

CHRISTMAS

Lol, how perfectly coincidental......not!! Now you are just going to have to grab yourself one of the fabulous new releases to play along (no, you don't HAVE to but I know you're gonna want to :-D).

Of course I have played along again, just can't help myself.

I have used the new accessories for this first card and with some directions from my wonderful teamie, Paola, I used Photo.net to merge them with Bodacious Bev.

Sorry the photo is pretty poor, don't know what's up with that. If you click on it to zoom in it is much clearer.

I was really pleasantly suprised by how easy it was to use Photo.net to merge the images. Paola put me on to a great tutorial here for those of you that are interested.

Now I have a second card for you, ( that doesn't happen very often). I have used the new SANTA for this one.

All these images are just so much fun to colour.

Well, that's my cards for you. Head on over now to Kenny K's shop and pick yourself up some of his fantastic images and get creating!! He even has a new FREEBIE for October. This one's a sneak peak of next years new release.

Then go check out the incredible cards Team A have for you this week over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz Challenge blog.  Remember if you use one of Kenny's images you will be in the running to win some free digi's.

Thanks for stopping by today. I will try to pop around tonight to see what you have all been up to.

Father's Day

Happy Friday everyone!!

The weather is beautiful today, but lots of rain is forcast for the weekend. Bit of a downer really considering Sunday is Father's Day.

My boys have a plan for what they are doing for/with their Dad on Sunday. They want to set up the outdoor table and chairs on our veranda and make a little cafe and serve breakfast to him out there. Oh why do they have to grow up, they are so cute at this age (4, 6 and 7)!

I had planned to make a card for my Dad when I was down in Adelaide visiting my parents. I was so looking forward to playing in my Mum's well stocked craft room. Now that the holiday has been postponed I realised that I was going to be late getting a card to my Dad :-(. Still, better late than never, right?

This is the card I have made for him.

Completely put together with scraps from my ever growing collection. The image was stamped over a year ago and has been in my bag of stamped images ever since.

For some reason, cards for men are always so difficult for me. I'm not sure if it is due to a lack of papers and embellishments or just that they seem so unfinised without the flowers and bling I am so fond of (not to mention the pink!).

I hope you all have an absolutely fantastic weekend!

Thanks for stopping by.

Another New Toy

.
Oh I am sooo spoilt!

I just received another big parcel from my wonderful Dad filled with goodies from Stampin Up (I think my Dad must be one of my Mum's best customers!). My 40th birthday is coming up soon (in June) and Dad said this was my birthday present. He also said I shouldn't open it until then but on what planet would that happen I ask you ?!

I was so excited to open the box to my brand new BIG SHOT machine and accessories.

So tonight after my cherubs went to bed, I was straight in to my craft room to have a play with it.

I think this card uses just about all the accessories that came with the Big Shot today.

The background panels are stamped with a new stamp set that also came in the parcel - Cottage Garden from Stampin Up.

Recipe:
Pink cardstock - unknown source
Rose Red , Old Olive and Whisper White cardstock from Stampin Up
Ink - Pretty In Pink - Stampin Up
Top Note Big Die - Stampin Up
Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions - Stampin Up
Little Leaves Sizzlets Die - Stampin Up
Heart and Lettering from Timeless Type Junior Alphabet Medium Sizzlet Die - Stampin Up
Stamp set - Cottage Garden - Stampin Up

Thanks for stopping by today.

Where did the week go???

.
End of school holidays already!

My two eldest boys go back to school on Tuesday and they have had no fun at all this last couple of weeks with a virus then a cold.
My youngest is still sick. He's up with me now (almost midnight!) with a high temp(you could of fried an egg on his tummy about an hour ago but it's better now). But he's happy he's watching a Pooh Bear Movie.
I can't believe it's been almost a week since I posted anything.
Well, I managed to make a card tonight.
Thought I better make a start on some Mother's Day cards for JeMbellish and my Mum of course.

My Mum actually sent me an example of a card like this and I had never seen one before. Thought I would give it a go for the Crafty Card Makers Challenge this week - A Challenging Challenge.

The top flap with the sentiment opens out to the right and the other panel opens out to the left. I have no idea what this style of card is called.

I have also submitted this card in to the following challenges as well

Thanks for stopping by today.

Romance Is In The Air

Every where you look there are hearts and chocolates adorning the windows and shelves of every store. Even the hardware stores manage to cash in on valentines day! I know it is probably way too over commercialised but I still love Valentines Day and I believe in romance. So to that end here are a couple of Valentines cards I have made.

I have used SU DP for this card in tones of pink and grey. The heart is hand cut from SU Real Red card stock and the bear is a stamp from Kaszazz. Sentiment is printed from my computer.

The blue DP is from Kaszazz adn the Riding Hood Red cardstock is from SU. I have used the truckloads of love stamp set from SU also. The hearts in the back of the ute have been hand drawn. Image was coloured with Lyra water colour crayons.

You can see these cards and more Valentines Day gift ideas over http://www.jembellish.com/. It is our first birthday this month and we are celebrating by giving you the gift.
