MIM #82 with Di's Digi Downloads

Oh I'm excited now, only five sleeps to the start of two weeks school holidays! Yay!

It's not that I don't like my job because I love it and it's not like I don't enjoy the time I get to myself on the days I don't work and the kids are at school because I do.  It's just that time is going so fast and my boys are growing up before my eyes and I just want more time with them. I'm looking forward to just hanging out with them while they still think it's fun to spend time with Mum and Dad.

But, before I wish away another week I want to tell you all about this week's Make It Monday linky party.

It was another fabulously inspiring linky party last week. It is so much fun discovering new blogs each week and meeting some really lovely people.

I was fairly organised again this week with my card made ahead of time.

 I was inspired to make this card after seeing my friend Shannean's creation here. 

I really loved her card and thought I would have a try at heat embossing some flowers and then colouring them with ink with my water brush. I also really liked the way Shannean did the sentiment in the distressed oval.

MIM #81 with K 'n K Designs

Row, row, row your boat gently down the stream..............

Hi

No I haven't completely lost the plot......well maybe I have slight case of cabin fever.

For those of you who don't know, I live in Tropical Far North Queensland Australia and the wet season has definitely arrived!!

Apparently we have had nearly 200mm of rain in the last 24 hours over the weekend . They reckon we will get around another 200mm  over the next 24 hours or so!

So I have managed to squeeze in a little extra craft time in between playing memory games, Mario Kart Wii and baking with my boys.

And although it is still very soggy outside it's not all bad as today brings a brand new linky party over at

I got my card made early for a change this week!!  I got a good head start when I went and spent the day with friends at a fabulous craft store down south called Scrap Therapy (they are an online store too).

The image is one of my favourites from Kenny K and I have coloured her with my Copics.

I picked up this pretty paper at Scrap Therapy while I was there.

 They are from Echo Park and called Seeing Spots.

MIM #80 with Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps

Oh dear...........Monday again and I'm back to only posting once a week........so much for my new years resolution to post more regularly, lol! I'll try to do better I promise!

I had a wonderful day yesterday crafting with some lovely ladies at our local craft store

Scrap Therapy

The store owners Lee-Anne and Danny were the perfect hosts and spoilt us all day with the best coffee (love your work Danny!) and by allowing us a backstage pass if you will, to wander through the isles of stock and just browse (and shop!) to our hearts content. I tell you, I was in heaven! I don't get to go craft shopping much without the kiddies in tow and when I do it's a quick dash in to grab some essential item. So to be able to spend the whole day (yes the whole day!) in there was just bliss.....dare I say it........like Scrap Therapy!

Thank you Lee-Anne and Danny, I hope I get to catch up with you both again soon.

And another Monday rolls around!

I know we all say it, how quick time is going but I am really struggling with the fact that it is now Autumn already! What happened to Summer?! Our boys are already half way through their first term of school and are counting down the days to their next school holidays, lol.
