I checked the mail box and discovered that I had been sent a free copy of the Australian Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine

First I thought my Mum and sent it to me then I realised it had come straight from the publishers and I wondered why............

Make It Monday #127 with Little Miss Muffet Stamps

Hi!

Here I am again, just scraping it in with my Make It Monday post for this week.

Let's just say first couple of weeks back at school for my eldest son have been pretty hard going. 

I think it is safe to say that Autism and school are not generally a good fit. 

We did have a lovely weekend though (weekends are always so much less stressful than school days). Had a birthday party to go to with my middle son and even though it was pouring with rain he had an absolutely blast. What more could a boy want than party food and muddy puddles, lol!

By late Sunday afternoon I was beginning to think I might not get my card finished for this week's

I get the feeling that this year is going to zoom past even faster than last year.

My boys started back at school last week and it's a short first term for them being only 9 weeks long. They are already talking about the next school holidays and they have only just had six weeks break, lol!

I'm late, I'm late!!

Don't think I have been this late for MIM before.

Where I live in Queensland Australia we have been hit by the devastating force of ex tropical cyclone Oswald for the last week. Wide spread flooding, power outages and some of the areas worst hit have only just started to recover from the same thing two years ago.

We are more fortunately up here in the norther part of the state as we have the infrastructure set up to cope with the deluges and destructive winds. We copped a lashing earlier last week and this weekend we were without phone or internet services for the last 24 hours, which is nothing in comparison to those down south. My heart goes out to them as they struggle to deal with it all.

Make It Monday #124 with Bugaboo Stamps

Hi , it's a wet soggy Monday here.

Although the sun is out now, it's been a pretty wet 24 hours.

While the southern states of Australia are enduring scorching 40 degree days and devastating bushfires the tropical north of the country is on watch for developing cyclones in the west, north and east.

It was a lovely weekend actually with the rain coming down all day Sunday. The boys were happy playing with their leggo and coming up with great Ninjago episodes of their own (love listening to their imaginitive play) and Hubby was napping on the couch. Makes him sound lazy doesn't it, but he is such a hard worker, both at work and around our one acre property. It was actually quite nice to see him just kicking back and relaxing.

I managed to get a fair amount of time to myself to do some blog housework and to get my card made for today's

I played around a bit with the way I coloured this sweet little kitty. I wanted to create the look of fur but I'm not sure I quite got it right. I used quite a few Copic markers to get this effect as well.
