Back to pink and girly

.
Hi

Well, I couldn't help myself, I had to revert back to my all time favourite cards, the pink and girly kind as there were a few challenges I wanted to enter.

For this card I have used another wonderful image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too called "Video Girl".

I am really enjoying playing and experimenting with my new copics. I still only have a small selection of colours so I had a play around on this card blending colours to create different colours. I created the orange and purple for the cushions and also the green leaf.

I also experimented with blending colours to create the image background and the sentiment box both of which were originally white cardstock.

This card is linked to the following challenges:

Blue Medallion

.
Hi

I hope you are all feeling better than me today (that would not be hard). The flu I had on my birthday weekend last week is back with a vengence. I am aching all over and my head feels stuffed full of cotton wool and everything that I can hear sounds like I have my head under the bath water.

Perhaps that is one of the reasons why I'm not overly fond of today's card but there are a few. Firstly I don't often make cards with out a coloured image as the focal pioint and the fact that I smudged the white lines I created with the gel pen really bugs me and lastly, I'm not sure this is really a very masculine card.

First I stamped the Medallion image from Stampin Up! on to a square of  Brocade Blue cardstock and then after re-inking I stamped again on Whisper White cardstock.

I used some of the Medallion on white to create two corners and with a circle punch I cut the centre of the medallion to place on top of the blue on blue medalion (even though that sounds like gyberish, it should be clear enough in the photo).

I then placed two white brads in the other corners and using a white gel pen (tip - don't do this when you are not well and your hands are shaky) I drew some smaller circles on either sides of the brads and then some white lines to frame.

Sentiment (from Kaszazz) is stamped using Whisper White Craft ink.

Recipe
Cardstock - Brocade Blue & Whisper White - Stampin Up!
Ink - Not Quite Navy & Whisper White - Stampin Up!
Stamp - Medallion - Stampin Up!
Accessories - White Brads & White Gel Pen

Game On

.
Hey, not bad, two masculine cards in a row, I'm thinking I'm on a roll! But lets not jinx it, I want to see how many I can do before I get tired of making them, or my mojo runs dry.

Today's card uses another fantastic image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too called "Game On". I really love Mo's images, so much fun to colour. I have used a mix of copics and water colour crayons to colour.

Papers are from my stash, I realise now that I really dont have all that many papers suitable for guys. This obviously needs to be fixed so I will just have to go shopping..........what  drag!

The sentiment is computer generated. I can't remember how I came upon it but there is this great site that gives you the colour codes to print Stampin Up colours on your printer. Check it out here.

One for the guys

.
Hi

After looking at some of my previous posts I decided that I have way too many pink and girly cards on here so I decided that I am going to try and do a run of cards for men and boys for a while. Let's see how that goes hey!

I have used a wonderful image from Mo's Digital Pencil Too called "Fishing" and coloured it with a combination of Copics and Lyra Water Colour Crayons.

The card it made up with a few odds and ends I had in my stash. The base of the card is brown cardstock and I have used a white gel pen to create the wood grain.

End of Summer

.
Hi

I'm thinking today's weather is about as close as we get to real winter weather here in the tropics. Its overcast the breeze is cool and there is some misty rain that has been falling all day. It's probably around 26 degrees C (approx 78 Deg F) here today which is by no means cold but it's enough for me to pull on the jeans and get myself comfy in the craft room.

I relocated my craft room yesterday so that the boys could have their "playroom" back again and camp in there over the school holidays. While re sorting all my supplies in to the new room I came across some pretty pink floral paper that was free from a magazine and decided to build today's card with it.

The image is "End Of Summer" from Mo's Digital Pencil Too.

I coloured this sweet image with a mix of copics and Lyra Water Colour Crayons.

For the corners and the bottom strip I stamped a flower from Stampin Ups Flower Fancy set on to Whisper White cardstock and coloured with copics.

Recipe:

Whisper White and Rose Red cardstock - Stampin Up
Designer Paper - free from magazine
corners  and bottom strip - hand stamped
Stamp Set - Flower Fancy - Stampin Up!
White ribbon
Digital Image - End Of Summer - Mo's Digital Pencil Too
Sentiment - by hand

Copics:
Hair - E25, Y26
Skin - E000, E00, E11, R20
Shirt - R85, R83, R81
Jeans - B93, B91

Thanks for stopping by today, hope you have a wonderful day.

I hope those of you celebrating Father's Day this weekend just gone had a wonderful time with family. I celebrated my 40th birthday on Sunday but was unfortunately quite sick all day. But I did enjoy being spoilt by the wonderful men in my life. I was thrilled to see when I came out to the family room in the morning that my husband and three boys had gotten up early and decorated the house with balloons etc. They were all so excited to show me.
I was spoilt with a selection of Copics, from DH and my boys, more craft supplies from Mum and Dad to add to my growing collection and some gorgeous gold earings from my fabulous friends (Thanks girls!!) and of course lots of chocolate that I still managed to eat even though I was sick. Nothing puts me off chocolate!!

Jam Tilda - Regal Rose and So Safron

.
Hi

Wow, a whole week has almost gone past again and I have not done much crafting at all.

But I have managed a card tonight that I am quite happy with. It came together very quickly (love it when that happens)

I decided to try my hand at getting a little more creative with my flower this time instead of just using them straight out of the punch so to speak. I used three different sized scollop circles of So Safron cardstock for this flower and inked around them with SU So Safron Ink. I then cut almost to the centre at each scollop all the way around the large one. Using my bone scorer I rubbed the underside of the large scollop circle to give it more of a curled shape and then layered the two smaller ones on top securing them together with a brown brad.

Both the flower and the matted imaged are popped up on dimentionals.

The ribbon is a white satin? ribbon that I coloured with a SU So Safron marker an idea I got from my friend Edna. Pop on over and check out her blog she makes the most stunning cards.

I created the white strip under the ribbon using the SU eyelet border punch and I also used this punch to create the corners for the image.

Tilda's skin is coloured with Copics and the rest is done with water colour crayons.

After noticing a VERY big smudge on the inside of the card (how I missed it before I started working on the card I don't know!) I decided to decorate the inside of the card too.

Linking this card to:

Boho Blossoms and Five Petal Flower Punches

.
Hi

What a fabulous long weekend (Queens Birthday for those of you outside of Australia) it has been. The weather is as always this time of year, just perfect.

My friend Jill and I had our market stall yesterday, boy it was really quiet. Lots of people away camping was more than likely the cause. Still, Jill and I enjoy ourselves anyway, chatting and having coffee and discussing future plans for JeMbellish.

While I have been busy working on a secret project (you will have to wait a couple more weeks yet before it will be revealed) I have managed to whip up a quick card for today's post.

For this card I decided to pull out a couple of punches I haven't used before. Stampin Ups Boho Blossoms and the Five Petal Flower punches.

I made this a square card because I wanted to use up some of the Stampin Up 6x6 designer paper pads that I have that my wonderful Mum, Shirley- Anne, sent up to me a while back.

The flowers and stitching on the pink circle behind the image have been hand drawn with a white gel pen and I also drew some detailing around the edge of the scollop circle with a pink stampin up marker.

I am linking this card up to :

Vintage Vogue for a friend

Hi

Well, it's winter here now but you wouldn't know it. The weather is gorgeous. The humidity of the wet season is already a distant memory. Every year I wonder why I choose to live in the tropics when the rain pours down continuously for weeks on end and the mould blooms on shoes, belts and bags in the wardrobe. But now, this time of year, I wouldn't live anywhere else. The skies are blue, the breeze is soft and the sun feels so good on my skin.

Of course the down side is that it really isn't conducive to getting much housework done, it's just way too nice to be inside. So that means that I am later to get in to my craft room at night as the work I should have done during the day needs to be done first.

But with that done, I have managed a card for tonight.

I chose the Vintage Vogue stamp set from Stampin Up! for this card tonight. I have had the set for a while but have not used it except perhaps the flowers on a previous card.

I originally wanted to make this a monochromatic scheme but found that hard so added the So Safron for the flowers.

Recipe:

Cardstock - Old Olive and Whisper White from Stampin Up!
Designer paper  from the Rock Star card elements set from Stampin Up!
Stamp Set - Vintage Vogue from Stampin Up!
Ink - Old Olive and So Safron from Stampin Up!

Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look today.
